Inspired by the shapes of the ancient coral reef that is Windjana Gorge in the West Kimberley region of WA.
I find this place spiritual and magestic and filled with inspiration and I designed Napier Pearl after my most recent visit. We camped under the stars, protected by a boab tree in the nearby campsite and trecked into the gorge in the morning.
The pleated crinoline fabric represents the rock formations of Windjana and the pearl is the twinkle of light on the water from the ever so gentle ripple of an inquisitive fresh water crocodile that was floating by.
Winjana Gorge cuts through the Napier ranges. The traditional owners of this area are Bunuba Aboriginal people.
A very special place, inspiring a very special headpiece - Napier Pearl.
