Hi, I'm Flic!

I create unique, one-off headwear for rural, regional and remote women who have a special event to attend but may not have access to retail stores, or the opportunities to shop.

As the Milliner on the Move, I create a collection, pack the car and drive deep into our regions, bringing bespoke headwear to women situated in rural areas and remote cattle stations.  And I always return filled with inspiration for the next creations.

I was born in Mudgee, but Broome’s the place that stole my heart and filled my soul with colour. I’ve worked across beef, aquaculture, pearling and even remote aged care — so when I say my brand is unapologetically rural, regional and remote, I mean it. I’m known to pack up the car, crank the country tunes, and drive for days just to hand-deliver a hat to someone who doesn’t have a David Jones within 1,000 kilometres. That’s Milliner on the Move — a girl, a car, a few too many hat boxes, and a whole lot of adventure.

Somewhere along the road, the cameras caught up with me. That’s how MadHATtan – Aussie Outback to New York Runway was born — an award-winning documentary that followed the chaos, the grit and the giddy joy of taking Broome millinery to Manhattan. The ABC, Landline and more have all shared the story — because, honestly, who doesn’t love a good “bush girl conquers New York” yarn?

These days I run Hats by Felicity, keep the Milliner on the Move blog alive, and created The Homestead Hub — a platform connecting rural, regional and remote Australians with businesses that actually understand their world.
