Jila is a local Aboriginal word for permanent water and this headpiece reflects the stunning waters of Broome; the milky hues of Roebuck Bay and the creeks into which she flows. The construction of sinamay swirls honour the movement of the tides, and offer a millinery collaboration to style hair amongst the piece.
